I'm Carly Butler Verheyen. I was born & raised in the tomato capital of Canada: Leamington, Ontario. I just recently moved to Langley, British Columbia with my hubby and absolutely LOVE it here.
For as long as I can remember, I have always owned a camera. Growing up I was one of those people who would insist on documenting family trips & gatherings and was constantly snapping pictures of my friends. In 2008, I went to teach English in South Korea and for Christmas that year, my parents bought me my first dSLR camera. This is where my love for photography and travel blossomed.
My passion for photography became even more evident after I discovered 110 love letters that my Grama wrote to my Papa just after WWII. The letters were dated from January to July of 1946. Along with the letters, we found scrapbooks & photographs or their lifetime together that literally changed the course of my life. From January to July of 2013, I picked up my life & followed my heart to London, England to retrace the steps of my Grama through her letters & photographs.
Photography is so important and helps document the memories & special moments of your lifetime for yourself, your children & generations to come. It is a glimpse into the world of this moment that will soon be a memory. It is a time in life to be cherished & remembered.
I would be honoured to be a part of that with you.
